The Accompanying Pit of the Tomb of The Prince of Qi Exhibition is an important display achievement of Zibo Museum in implementing the strategy of displaying fine products. It uses a variety of display methods comprehensively to display the unearthed cultural relics from the tomb with the Prince of Qi. It is a cultural relic exhibition with unearthed objects as the theme, displaying the findings of excavation research from the perspective of archaeology. The Tomb of the Prince of Qi of the Western Han Dynasty is an important archaeological achievement of Zibo Museum. A total of 12,000 cultural relics have been unearthed from the five burial pits. The unearthed cultural relics are abundant in quantity, type and exquisite in production, which provides extremely rich material for the study of archaeology in the Han Dynasty and the history of Qi in the early Han Dynasty. These cultural relics witnessed the strength and military strength of Qi at that time, and were the epitome of the economic and cultural prosperity of Qi in the early Western Han Dynasty.

 

Ancient Zibo Exhibition

The historical display of ancient Zibo is based on the historical development process and the archaeological and literature unearthed in Zibo area. Through a large number of cultural relics, pictures and explanatory text objectively and systematically reflect the Zibo area, its own human beings began to end this long historical process, political, economic, cultural, social and other aspects of progress and development, fully demonstrate the achievements and brilliance of the ancestors living in Zibo area in various historical periods. The exhibition is divided into five parts: the ancient period, the historical period of Qi, the Qin and Han dynasties, the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty, the Ming and Qing dynasties. This exhibition has selected more than 160 pictures ,34 portraits ,7 oil paintings ,6 maps, a total of 330 selected pottery, bronze ware, porcelain, ancient books, paintings, original bills and other cultural relics, A more comprehensive display of the political, economic, cultural, and social development of ancient Zibo in different historical periods, highlighted the continuous development history and process of Chinese civilization and Zibo regional culture.

Zibo City Intangible Cultural Heritage Achievement Exhibition

Zibo City Intangible Cultural Heritage Achievement Exhibition are the centralized display which have 13 national intangible cultural heritage projects including Wu Yin Opera and 51 provincial intangible cultural heritage projects including ceramic and glaze firing skills. Nearly 100 intangible cultural relics which cover multiple categories such as traditional skills, traditional art, and traditional drama are exhibited in the nearly 400 square exhibition space. They are well-made and brilliant. Protecting intangible cultural heritage and inheriting national cultural traditions is an important content of contemporary China’s national development strategy, and it is also a necessary means to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Through the combination of dynamic and static, the exhibition allows the general public to perceive the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage at close range.

 

Inkstone recording history, Peach Blossom Fan carrying love---Hou Yang Inkstone Exhibition

Hou Yang Inkstone is a Duan Shi shaped inkstone which made in Ming Dynasty Xuande Period (1426-1435) by its Inscription, and it has a history of nearly 600 years. Hou Chaozong was the first owner of Hou Yang Inkstone which was the Heirloom of Hou mansion. Yang Longyou got the Inkstone presented by Hou Chaozong because of fixing Hou Chaozong and Li Xiangjun up, and lost it due to failing to rebel Qing dynasty and rebuild Ming dynasty. According to the chequered romantic love story of Hou and Li, the dramatist Kong Shangren of the Qing Dynasty created the legend of Peach Blossom Fan, adding a strong legendary color to Hou Yang Inkstone. After Yang Longyou's martyrdom, Hou Yang Inkstone was passed on to Lu Qiqing, Zhao Zhixin and Jing Jiechen. Finally, Jing Jiechen’s wife left it to Zhang Zhizhong and his wife. Zhang Zhizhong and Han Yuming thoroughly understand cardinal principle and hope to donate Hong Yang Inkstone to our country in the rest of their lives to let more people know and enjoy it. The thick historical heritage and rich cultural connotation of Hong Yang Inkstone, as well as its inextricably relationship with Zibo made them decide to donate it to Zibo Museum. As the event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of China, Inkstone recording history, Peach Blossom Fan carrying love---Hou Yang Inkstone Exhibition take the time and space as clues, concentrated display the circulation route and handover inheritance of Hou Yang Inkstone, which was mainly made up by Hong Chaozong left the inkstone, Yang Longyou lost the inkstone, Lu Qiqing hide the inkstone, Zhao Zhixin got the inkstone, Jing Jiechen’s wife passed the inkstone, the critics enjoy the inkstone, Zhang Zhizhong and his wife donate the inkstone. Through varies forms including the graphic display boards, cultural relics collection displays and multimedia presentations and multiple technologies such as sound, light, and electricity, the exhibition concentrated display the circulation and collection for hundreds of years of Hou Yang Inkstone. Hou Yang Inkstone Witness the four great humanistic feelings: Hou Chaozong and Yang Longyou treat each other with all sincerity; Lu Qiqing and Zhao Zhixin appreciate each other; Jing Jiechen and Zhang Zhizhong help each other in adversity; the unselfish act of kindness of Zhang Zhizhong and his wife. Through the exhibition, we can popularize the essence of Chinese excellent traditional culture to the public especially the young students, further promote the new morality and new spirit of the times, and spread the positive energy of society.
